En un mundo sumido en plena pandemia por el coronavirus, la nominaciones a Los Premios Óscar 2021 por fin están aquí. En la edición número 93 del galardón, se encuentran compitiendo por la mejor película 'El padre', 'Judas y el Mesías Negro', 'Mank', 'Minari', 'Nomadland', 'Mujer joven prometedora', 'Sonido del metal' y 'El juicio de los 7 de Chicago'.
Además, por primera vez en la historia de los Óscar, dos mujeres han sido nominadas a Mejor Directora en el mismo año con Chloé Zhao y Emerald Fennell nominadas por 'Nomadland' y 'Promising Young Woman', respectivamente. Zhao es también la primera mujer asiática y la primera mujer de color en ser nominada a Mejor Directora.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas y Nick Jonas anunciaron las nominaciones al Premio de la Academia en una presentación en vivo de dos partes el lunes a través de una transmisión en vivo global. La ceremonia se llevará a cabo en la Union Station de Los Ángeles y en el Dolby Theatre el 25 de abril, luego de haber sido postergada desde su fecha original del 28 de febrero.
